Wawasan Open University (WOU)

Established in 2006 and headquartered in George Town, Penang, WOU is Malaysia's only private open university, designed exclusively for working adults through open and distance learning (ODL). Supported by the Penang state government and seven Chinese Chamber of Commerce affiliates, it offers three intakes per year, Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL), and has over 30,000 alumni.
